I am very excited to be able to offer a new artist's work to my store. Each of Laura’s illustrations on her greeting cards spoke to me, and I hope they will talk to you too!
Laura Stoddart was born in Liverpool in the early seventies. She grew up in rural Cheshire and always wanted to be an illustrator, of which she is proud to be the third generation. Laura Stoddart trained at the Royal College of Art and was the youngest artist ever to be commissioned to design the Christmas stamps for the Royal Mail. Since then, her work has appeared in many magazines, on greetings cards and gift wrap, and packaging for Crabtree & Eveyln and the New York label, Kate Spade.
Laura now lives and works on the Devon / Somerset border with her husband, two children, and two Bedlington Terriers. She loves plants and trees and collections of lusterware, china dogs, antique chairs, and red shoes.
