A clean, tapered terracotta planter inspired by the hardworking nursery pots of historic French gardens. Potier offers understated elegance and timeless simplicity.
The Anise Pottery Collection by Botanical Collections draws inspiration from antique French orchard vessels and traditional European garden pottery. Each piece is hand-thrown by artisans in the mountains of Honduras using natural terracotta clay and finished with softly weathered tones that evoke the character of timeworn garden antiques.
The Potier planter is part of the Anise Pottery Collection by Botanical Collections and represents a masterclass in minimalist garden design. Inspired by the practical “workhorse” pots historically used in French nurseries, the Potier embraces simplicity by stripping away ornate decoration in favor of a clean, tapered silhouette.
Its deep profile provides ample room for root expansion, making it an ideal container for topiary shrubs, upright perennials, or architectural indoor plants such as Fiddle Leaf Figs. The Potier’s classic "V" shaped form creates a refined balance between modern simplicity and antique garden character.
Hand-thrown by artisans in the mountains of Honduras using traditional terracotta clay, each planter features natural tonal variation and subtle surface texture. These small differences give every Potier planter its own individual patina, reminiscent of timeworn European garden vessels.

I was looking for a pot for my parlor palm that had just a hint of green, with a beautiful shape. The Potier fit the bill in style and color.
