Inspired by antique French terracotta flowerpots, it is most recognized for its softly scalloped rim that resembles the crown of a tulip or a traditional apple-picking basket.

This sculptural detail gives the planter its collected European garden character, as if it were discovered in a French market or long-established garden. The gently weathered finish enhances this aged aesthetic while allowing the planter to blend beautifully into both classic garden settings and relaxed interiors.

Each piece is hand-thrown by artisans in Honduras using traditional terracotta clay. Because every planter is handmade, subtle variations in color, texture, and patina are part of the natural beauty of the piece, giving each Surrey planter its own unique character.
